You know, the kind of week that leads you to seriously consider a career change. Where nothing seems to go right, and Friday can’t come soon enough. A week where the gradually greying sky seems to reflect the foul mood you carry about you like a loosely woven shawl on an elderly womens shoulders, clutching to it for comfort and yet it offers none.
That kind of week. Yeah it was a fun one.
So I come home and decide I will log into Vanguard to take out some frustration on something virtual. Some slaughter and mayhem of pixels, whilst my cumbersome burden of the weeks toils trickles away like water from a leaky faucet. Seaping into the nether of the pipes and eventually winding its way to the sewers where such palors of gloom ultimately belong. . . Turns out the only trickling to be had was on my XP bar as it moved practically backward, in conjunction with each increasingly frustrating death. Nothing to harvest, nothing to kill. Perhaps WoW is the cure.
Unfortunately the bright and vibrant color palette did little to break thru my now far too crusty to be consumed by humans exterior and the mere sight of the brilliant, happy world caused my head to ache in such a manner as I was tempted to take a hammer to it to see if Athena would spring forth and lead me to battle. Alas I was not so fortunate, all that sprang forth were a few sputtering coughs and the occasional gassy release of the spaghetti I enjoyed for my evening meal. I must admit that some of the gassy releases were quite impressive thanks to the tomatoey sauce.
Comfort was not to be found.
So now I sit here typing to you. Hoping to share my pain while the Cartoon Network plays jolly music in the background further inciting the riot now building in my head to near revolutionary levels. I fear that Che Guevara is even now gathering his brain cell troops, to burst forth, stepping in military precision, from my pounding eyesockets and lead them on a march to victory.
Good times. . . Good times. . .
Oh well, there is always tomorrow. That Errollisi Marr quest in EQII looks promising. Perhaps there I can shed this iron coat of gloom, while enjoying the holiday spirit with my little Halfling Troubador.
Then again, there is always next week.

Comment by queenladybug February 10, 2007 @ 10:10 amWell, I could be mean and say “hey, come over to SWG and grind entertainer with us…” but then again, maybe not.
Me and my merry band of misfit toons have been charging about, gathering hearts for Erollisi and, gorsh, having fun.
Hope your week improved some.
